Privacy Policy
Effective Date: January 30, 2026
Turnstone Tech LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates turnstonetechsoftware.com and related products. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information across all Turnstone Tech products and services.
Our services are intended for users in the United States. By using our services, you consent to the processing of your information in the United States.
1. Information We Collect
The information we collect varies by product and how you interact with our services:
Products Without Accounts
Some products, such as games, do not require account creation and do not collect personal identifiers. These products may collect limited, non-identifying technical usage data (such as feature interaction and error information) solely to improve product reliability and performance. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking services.
Account Information
- Email address: Required for account creation and authentication. We use passwordless (magic link) authentication—no passwords are collected or stored.
- Name: Collected during account setup or onboarding.
- Profile information: Optional details such as profile photos or organization names.
Product-Specific Data
- Content you create: Recipes, action plans, notes, and other content you create within our products.
- Usage patterns: How you interact with product features to provide and improve the service.
Some products allow you to choose whether content is public or private. Content marked as private is not shared with other users and is used only to provide the service to you. Content you choose to make public may be visible to other users of the service.
Local-First Data
Some of our products store data locally on your device (in browser storage such as IndexedDB) rather than on our servers. This data remains on your device unless you explicitly choose to export or back it up. Local data is subject to your device's security settings and is not encrypted at rest by our application.
Contact Information
If you contact us or join a waitlist, we collect your email address, name, and any other information you provide.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We believe in minimal data collection. We do not collect:
- Passwords (we use passwordless authentication)
- Payment card details (handled entirely by Stripe)
- Device fingerprints or advertising identifiers
- Precise location data
- Data from analytics or tracking tools (we do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar services)
3. How We Use Your Information

- To authenticate your identity and secure your account
- To communicate with you about your account or respond to inquiries
- To send service-related notifications (e.g., magic link emails, invitation emails)
- To process payments through our payment processor
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Email Communications
We send only transactional and service-related emails. These include:
- Magic link authentication emails
- Account-related notifications
- Invitations to access products or shared content
- Support and service communications you request
We do not send marketing, promotional, or bulk email campaigns. You will only receive emails that are necessary to provide and operate our services.
All emails are sent from our official domain (turnstonetechsoftware.com) and include clear sender identification and contact information.
5. Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: We use trusted third-party services to operate our business, as described in Section 6.
- Legal requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or legal process.
- Protection of rights: To protect the safety, rights, or property of Turnstone Tech, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate our products:
| Service | Purpose | Data Shared |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services (AWS) | Cloud hosting, email delivery (SES), file storage (S3), content delivery (CloudFront) | Email addresses, uploaded files, application data |
| Neon | Database hosting (PostgreSQL) | Application data |
| Stripe | Payment processing | Payment and billing information (card data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers) |
| Google Fonts | Typography | Standard web request data (IP address, browser information) |
All data is processed and stored in the United States (AWS us-east-1 region).
7. Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies and browser storage for essential functionality:
- Session cookies: HTTP-only, secure cookies that maintain your authenticated session (typically 30-day expiry).
- Preference cookies: Store your workspace or product preferences.
- Local storage: Some products store application data locally in your browser for offline functionality.
We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
8. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- Passwordless authentication (eliminating password-based attack vectors)
- HTTP-only and secure cookie flags
- TLS encryption for data in transit
- Time-limited, single-use authentication tokens
- Role-based access controls
- Parameterized database queries to prevent injection attacks
However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Data Retention
- Active accounts: Data is retained while your account is active.
- Deleted accounts: Following account deletion, we retain data for up to 90 days for legal and business purposes before permanent deletion.
- Authentication tokens: Expire within 15 minutes to 1 hour depending on the product.
- Invitation records: Expire after 7 days.
- Local data: Data stored locally on your device persists until you clear your browser data or uninstall the application.
10. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Certain products may be used by minors in supervised settings (such as clinical or educational environments). In these cases, the supervising adult is responsible for appropriate use, and we minimize data collection from minors—for example, by allowing anonymous nicknames instead of requiring identifying information.
11. Your Rights
You may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information.
- Export: Request your data in a portable format.
To exercise these rights, contact us at support@turnstonetechsoftware.com. We will respond within 30 days.
12. Third-Party Links
Our services may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
13. Future Services
We may introduce new products or features that use additional third-party services, including artificial intelligence services for features like content suggestions or analysis. If we do, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where appropriate, provide notice before such features are enabled.
We do not use personal information or email communications for training or operating third-party AI services without user notice and, where required, consent.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. For significant changes, we will provide additional notice (such as email notification for account holders). Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
